Do you arrange cargo insurance, or must the customer arrange it?
Cargo insurance can be arranged through Behajas upon request, or customers may use their preferred insurance provider. Insurance is not automatic and should be confirmed before shipping. Coverage, exclusions, and costs are subject to the insurer’s terms.
Can you handle import, export, transit, and project cargo?
Yes. We coordinate import, export, transit, and project cargo. Each consignment is reviewed individually so that the documentation, transportation, handling, and regulatory requirements can be properly planned.
Can customers book one service only, or can Behajas coordinate the full shipping-clearing-delivery process?
Both options are available. Customers may book an individual service or ask Behajas to coordinate the complete shipping, customs-clearance, and delivery process. The selected services and responsibilities will be clearly stated in the quotation or service agreement.
Are there minimum or maximum cargo sizes or weights?
We handle cargo of various sizes and weights, from small packages and containers to oversized project cargo. Acceptance depends on the cargo’s dimensions, weight, route, and the availability of suitable transportation and handling equipment. Customers should provide accurate cargo details for assessment.
Can Behajas clear both personal effects and commercial cargo?
Yes. We clear both personal effects and commercial cargo, subject to the required documentation and applicable customs regulations. Each consignment is reviewed individually to confirm its clearance requirements.
Who pays customs duties, port charges, storage, and demurrage?
These charges are normally paid by the customer or importer, including applicable customs duties, port charges, storage, demurrage, and agency fees. Any different payment arrangement will be clearly stated in the quotation or service agreement.
